I live in LA. How much would it cost to do this setup in the ultra white? You can PM me if you don't want to post an answer or email me hirohawa@aol.com.

Thanks

The LEDs are relatively cheap. Go to www.oznium.com and if you are doing the doorpanels, purchase the white 3mm LEDs vs the 5mm, so you don't have to cut the LED down.

It should cost you around 10-15 dollars.

How difficult is it to install and how many hours approx?

Are the 3mm White LEDs brighter than the stock setup?

Thanks

If you just do the door panels, I would say it should take about two hours if you have no experience with this.

It isn't too dificult to install.

Yes, the 3mm White LEDs should be brighter than the stock setup.

I just did mine in red. I did them with 5mm LED's because I was afraid they would not be bright enough in red with the 3mm. I am not 100% happy with the ride control, even though the only light I am using is on the left button the right one still looks brighter. I was going to do the same thing as one member and put black on the tip but I tried just taking it out and it looks balanced now. Just not bright enough, I am thinking about putting a non cut head LED in the left side to see if that will do the trick. The center looks good but not as good as the doors.

It took about two hours. I could do it quicker now.

The came out great, I did the doors, ride control and the trunk/fogs. I really want to do the dash but I am going to wait until I buy some aluminum trim rings and do them at the same time because I think you have to pull the whole cluster.

I did the door switches on Saturday, and it took just a hair over one hour.

How red are they? I was afraid they would turn out pink because of the white letters on the switches. Pictures would be helpful, thanks...

The door panels look great, a nice red at night, a little pinkish in half light, this would be true of any color though, I am sure the blue is a lighter during the day.

I still need to come up with something for the ride control ones though... I am not really happy with them, one side looks good and the other looks too dim.

Thanks, TT. You might want to think about lowering the value of the resistor on the dim side. I know that LEDs can stand a slightly higher voltage without burning out and it just may give you the brightness you need. Good luck and thanks for the speedy response.

I went home and shot this one after work today. I did not get pics of the center console. I may try the higher voltage idea, I am actually thinking about drilling a hole and just adding one.

Anyhow if you are on the fence about doing it in red this should help. They are even a darker red in person.

Thanks for the pic, TT. That's just the effect I was looking for. Red like an airplane cockpit. Great job!

That's what I was thinking... I have only seen it in movies, firefox comes to mind; slow movie to start but it gets good in the end. Cough Cough, back on topic, that's why I am looking forward to getting my aluminum gauge rings so I can do controls around the gauges and complete the cockpit look.

I solved the too dim traction control button issue, I added another LED. I used the black on the bulb tip idea for the bulb under the ride control. I think they look relatively balanced amd bright like the doors now. Here is the picture with the extra LED (I know it looks like hell but it works fine). I was going to do the mirror today but I decided to try the HVAC controls instead. I was testing the voltage when I shorted the thing out. The blue smoke means the magic genie of electricity has left the building...
Anyhow that will be about a $100+ mistake. Live and learn and mod.

Here's a great price on a replacement for ya, unless you have the dual zone option.

I had a few close calls when I did my HVAC, but nothing that forced it to give up the ghost
