It Seems Everytime We Leave The Garage Door Open Cats Seem To Find There Way In And Lay On Top Of The Vette. There Is A Ws6 T/a Thats Black Right Beside The Red Vette They Never Touch!!!!!does Red Attract Animals....(especially C A T S)!!!!!
My cat got locked in the garage a few nights ago and I had a ton of pawprints (but no scratches) on my car. I wasn't happy but it needed washing anyway.
There is this big dark color cat that I always find just lounging on my car. This cat is over 20 pounds. I haven't seen him in a few weeks. There are other cars parked close to my Vette, but this cat loves to sit right in the middle of my hood close to the windshield.
1) Don't surprise the cat - especially if it's on the car.
2) Buy a cattleprod, toy red corvette, and some catnip
3) Wire cattleprod to toy corvette and insert catnip into toy car
4) Wait quietly for cat to become aware of catnip
5) Press button
After a few sessions the cat will avoid red corvettes.

I think cats are colorblind so it would not know which color is which?
One of the only colors cats (and dogs?) can see, besides shades of black and white, is red. It's probably a blood thing. Animals and Vettes do not mix. This is the only serious information I'm giving out tonight, so heed me well
As the name implies, have several cats (currently eleven vice the seven at registration on the forum). Sacrifice the Grand Cherokee and Chrysler 300M in upper garage to the one outside cat we have - she sleeps on a blanket on the hood of 300M inside a donut (heated of course - she's an outside cat!). Vert is kept in other garage with cover on it - outside cat only goes in that garage under supervision and for extremely short duration. So the answer is simple - give the cat(s) what they want, a warm engine/hood, that is NOT the Vette, and they will be happy. Just keep the hood warm and attractive on the sacrifical vehicle.
I find the .22 short hollow point is really effective on cats. they dont run far and you can just put them in a garbage bag and throw them into the trash. the shotgun is a little more fun, but I usually wait till they run. but may be a little noisy in town??? pelet gun is a little to weak, but they wont come back for about three days, and when they do , they are a lot more sneaky. traps are not effective, poison is a little cruel, but may be required in some areas where GUNS are prohibited. some times i like the .45 lever action. its a little more nostelgic shooting. and there again, the hollow point is most effective. good luck
I had the same problem with my wifes cat. I covered my car and baited eight mouse traps with cat food and put them all over my car. After a day or two the cat figured out it didn't like sitting on my vette.

PS. My wife wasn't very pleased with it but she got over it.
I find this rather funny in that one of our cats always used a litter box in the garage. She was always attracted to the hood of 98 Torch Red. When I traded for the black 03 she came in the garage once (the first day) walked around it, cried to get back in the house and has never set foot in the garage again and switched to using the litter box in the laundry room.
PWEETA (People Who Enjoy Eating Tasty Animals) fully supports your right to eat cat (felis domesticus), or any other game meat in the privacy of your own home. On a "libertarian" medium like the Internet, there is no end of sites dedicated to the construction of homemade bombs and weapons of mass destruction. However, a quick check on any search engine will uncover a striking lack of quality cat eating advice available in English.
The day may come, for whatever reason - rioting, pestilence, famine, sleeping on your Corvette or just plain curiosity - you will need to eat a cat. Your very survival may depend on this handy guide.
