Anybody have a problem with either one of their door locks not unlocking when you use key fob. It will lock the door but will not always unlock it. The problem is only on the drivers door. I have to use the key in the door lock to unlock the door sometimes. This problem is not constant.
Thanks

Yup. It's happened to me a number of times and like you said it's sporadic. Try using the inside locking lever and lock/unlock it several times in a row, then open/shut the door firmly a few times also. I'm not sure if it's a little corrosion in the solenoid or not, but when I manually lock/unlock the door several times and then try the FOB, it usually starts working again and remains that way for a number of weeks/months. I have this problem on the passenger side only....I push the fob twice within 5 seconds (as per the manual) and 6 out of 10 times the pass door won't unlock until I do it a second or third time????
Oh! Man something else to look out for. I wonder if it's a grounding problem. I think I am going to check all my grounds before it comes off the jack stands. Being a plastic car if the grounds are not in good shape these types of things can start happening. My .02
I see the general opinion is that it is the door lock module. Does anybody know how much the part would cost? I have an extennded warranty but it comes with a $100.00 deductable. If the part is more than that I will let the dealer fix it.
Thanks for all replies

I had this same issue. First it was the passenger door. Then, after a while, the key fob stopped working altogether. I resync'd per the manual and everything worked again. Next day, nothing. I relearned the key fob per the manual and it was working again. Next day, nothing. I thought, ok, must be a dying battery in the fob. Bought a new battery and replaced it. Went through the relearn and it worked great again. Next day, nothing. Put the new battery in the 2nd key fob, went through the relearn process and once again, I was back in business. Next day, NOTHING!!! Grrrrrrr
Went searching the forum and found this little jewel: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...hlight=key+fob. In it Bill Curlee posted some images from the tech manual and some pictures that he took showing the ground points for the keyless entry system. I followed his instructions and bingo! Both key fobs worked again. Haven't had any problems in about a month now and it only cost me my time. Good luck!
