Default NCM Driving program

Anyone know anything about the reputation of the driving program being sponsored by NCM at the Carolina Motorsports Park in SC the end of October? Price is reasonable for a two day school but the announcement does not seem to give many details. Thought there might be someone out there who has been to a driving school at this location. C5 XTC

This will be the first event by the NCM. Roc has been an instuctor for different HPDEs for over 6 years and is the NCM Events Manager.

My self, I have been done event promotions for 20 years and professional educator for 25 years and coach for 30 years.

I have attended more then 30 HPDEs and believe that a Corvette / High HP Drivers event is needed.

I chose Carolina Motorsports Park (CMP )for several reasons:

1. CMP is a good track that has several high speed straights and many technical turns.
2. If some one goes off the track there is plenty of run off room so that the only thing that may be damaged is a brused ego :o

3. the track was availbe on a weekend.

Take a hot lap around the track

Hot Lap of CMP

Speeds on the three long straights for new students typically are in the low 100s

The school will be simular to other High Performance Driving Schools.

Each student will have a personal insturctor to ride with them in the students car.

Each day will have three to four 25-30 min on track sessons and about 2 hours of class room.

as we have posted on the Welcome page "The school will teach Corvette owners how to properly and safely handle their performance sports cars with instruction on handling, braking, control, balance and weight transfer, and "road vision." The performance classes will use technical classroom instruction, track exercises and actual track lap time to give participants a real driving experience!"

If there is anything else or other questions please dont hesitate to ask or email Roc at roc@corvettemuseum.com or myself thomasbohlmann@yaoo.com
