Anyone have suggestions for EZPASS mounting? I think it's ug on the windshiled and wondering if it will work if left in the glove box/or console lol. I saw some cheesy suction cup holder but looking for something better...worse comes to worse I will just leave in console and hold up to window when needed.

Thanks for any input!

Marc

I carry mine in the console and bring it out at the toll booths and hold it up near the windshield. It works fine.

I just hold mine up to the windshield. I'm not mounting that thing on my car.

I just hold mine up when needed. some days it works and other days it doesn't. I think if your account is up to date with he correct license plates it really doesn't matter ( I say this because I got a ton of tickets int he mail and once I fixed my plates I have not gotten a ticket).

I called EZ pass regarding that it sometimes work and they recommended the one that attaches to your front license plate. I figure having the palte is bad enough, but putting that big black EZ pass on it would make it worse so I just keep doing what I am doing.

I just use the suction cup holder and take it off when I need to clean the windows. I place it as high it will go on the windshield on the tinted part behind the rearview mirror. I don't even notice it and it is hard to see from the outside with the tint.

In Orange County, CA. it also has to be visible or you could get cited.
Does that apply to you guys as well?

I spray painted mine flat black and placed it on the dashboard. I works fine and is not very noticeable at all.

I remember reading reading a post a while back where a guy had mounted it somewhere under his hood and it seemed to work OK. I tried a search but I lost patience waiting for a response.

I have mine mounted to the back side of the rear view mirror on the passenger side using velcro. It's 100% out of my eyesight when driving.

That's exactly what I do. I'm not putting that ugly beige box on my windshield!

I got some velcro and just stuck it on the carpet where the waterfall would be on a vert. The beam goes right through the glass top and picks it up every time.

That would be me. I got one of the exterior license plate mount EZPasses, and velcroed it to the top of my radiator shroud. Invisible, and works like a champ.

I would suggest using the exterior license plate mount EZPass for this application, as it is waterproof and I suspect more robust than the windshield mount. Besides, the size and color work better on the radiator shroud then the windshield mount.

One definite advantage to having a plastic car!
