I remember a picture of the Blue Angels pilots in a magazine, standing beside early 70's corvettes painted to match their aircraft. Each Corvette had the pilot's number painted on the cars too. The photo was on the flight line, with the cars lined up in sequence. There were color and B&W pics in the article.
It could have been in an old Life magazine or Corvette Vues... I'm still looking for it.
OK back in the days... like '96ish I visited The US Navy Blue Angels home base and noticed that the pilots were given a C4 painted in blue and yellow sporting the Blue Angels logo on the door/hood. I also read that to this day the pilots have been given a C5 every year painted in Blue and Yellow. So my question is... does anyone have photos or more info on these cars?? Thanks!

One of my old Navy buddies son was Blue Angel #8 and just recently rotated out. He claims no one ever gave them a Corvette or any car for that matter
