If this guy is a vendor doing work for your business, I would say he is way out of line to make any kind of desparaging comments. I hope these guys are better at board design than they are at customer relations!
We do all our own PC board design in-house, lil ole me had to go and learn the CAD, so "my" board designer never says anything bad about the Vette
Personally I like the 350Z, checked one out at the dealership before buying my Vette. Obviously not on the same performance level as our cars but for the money they IMO look great and have decent performance. A fully load 350Z is $10k less than a base C6.....

Rice burner for you. Did he buy the coffee can upgrades yet. I have a couple of left over folgers cans I could let him have for free. They really try to dress those rice burners nice but you know what they say "you can put lipstick of a pig, but it's still a pig". Tell him to dream on ....

All talk... As they say, "the proof is in the pudding" !! I wouldn't get in a verbal war with him, just line them up and then he'll clam up himself while he's reading your license tag.
They make all kinds of different cars because one is not going to appeal to all types of people. I try not to put other peoples rides down - if they like it, take pride in it, and make it the best it can be then so be it. Can we help it they are desperately decieved and haven't come to the realization that the Corvette RULES?!!!!
350Z, A porsche-lookin wanna-be with an underpowered engine. JAPS make great reliable cars, but they cant get beyond the V6 in their sports cars. There were NSX V8 rumors in Car & Driver a few years ago. WTF ever happened? And for pete's the NSX hasnt seen any significant changes in well over a decade. They should really just get out of the sports-car market all together.

I believe they did, or are in the process of removing the NSX from the american market.
I bought a 1990 Nissan 300 ZX Twin Turbo a couple years ago (don't flame me, I picked it up for $5000 and it was in excellent condition). While on the interstate I drove up on an older gentleman in a C5 vert. I looked at him, he looked at me, and the race was on..............needless to say he SPANKED me! Now this was when Nissan produced a twin turbo car, the 350 ZX is normally aspirated (unless over the last year or so they came out with a turbo package for it). Anyway, the moral of this story is that the V-6 of a Nissan was no match for the V-8 of the Corvette........even with 2 turbos!
My neighbor had a 94 300z Twin Turbo when we were in college. I beat him with my 96 Auto Coupe....then he proceeded to spank my azz in the corners. That car may be a little slow, but it handled like nothing I had ever seen up to that point.

If Nissan used larger turbos, IC's and then used more than the crappy 3 lbs of boost it would a have a chance.
I love when car owners think they have somethign cuz they have a Turbo from the Manufacturer. A quick word about manufacturer turbos. Dont waste your money if its an option (Like they had with the 300ZX and the 300ZX Non-intercooled Turbo version in the mid 80's.) You'd be better off with a REAL Aftermarket turbo. For those who have manufactured turbos, you may as well use a hair blower

Funny... 3 1/2 years ago when I was in the market for a "sports car" I told a buddy of mine the exact same thing... I called his 99 C5 a low tech rattle trap!!! Good thing he forcably dragged me out to the car and made me drive it..... (see sig) boy was I ever wrong!
Before I buy my 04 coupe I test drive the 350z, it was the competition model. As a previous Z owner (240z and 280 2+2) I figure I would at least try it. As I'm driving I notice all kinds of Body Jiggle and point it out to the young salesman. He says "yeah the Z drivers like that jiggle " I say..um that jiggle is what the suspension is supposed to prevent . Any way the 350z is ok if you don't mind window sills that are near neck top level and really restricted rear Vis. IMHO it falls short for a car that had a few years to remake itself.
Tell the genius DOHC technology has been used since the 20s. There is nothing advanced about his technology. Tell him you old tech motor can whop his *** with half the plugs removed. Then flash the pearly whites!!!
This Nissan guy is obviously clueless.
Nice car the 350Z but no match for a Vette, especially a Z06.
I've driven a new 350Z and it is pretty tame to say the least.
