met the guy we were meeting with in the parking lot. He wasn't driving, but I know he has a 350Z (his partner drove in an accord)...
Without prompting he says jokingly that he wanted to race, but he saw I brought a vette. Then he says, he'll never buy one of those unless they get rid of the 50's pushrod technology
No comment from me. I know what I got, and I know he knows not to mess with one. Enough said.
Rice burner for you. Did he buy the coffee can upgrades yet. I have a couple of left over folgers cans I could let him have for free. They really try to dress those rice burners nice but you know what they say "you can put lipstick of a pig, but it's still a pig". Tell him to dream on ....
I bought a 1990 Nissan 300 ZX Twin Turbo a couple years ago (don't flame me, I picked it up for $5000 and it was in excellent condition). While on the interstate I drove up on an older gentleman in a C5 vert. I looked at him, he looked at me, and the race was on..............needless to say he SPANKED me! Now this was when Nissan produced a twin turbo car, the 350 ZX is normally aspirated (unless over the last year or so they came out with a turbo package for it). Anyway, the moral of this story is that the V-6 of a Nissan was no match for the V-8 of the Corvette........even with 2 turbos!

Tell the genius DOHC technology has been used since the 20s. There is nothing advanced about his technology. Tell him you old tech motor can whop his *** with half the plugs removed. Then flash the pearly whites!!!

i had a 350z.. personally being part of my350z.com the 350z forum community and now this forum. Corvette owners are much more respectful.. I spent equal time on both and all the time on the other forum all they would do is bash, never give any other brand car any credit, and disrespectful to any people on that forum that didnt own a 350z. People say corvette owners are cocky, and think they are rich etc.. trust me what i said is the honest truth in a mutual standpoint. I still talk on that forum and i still am friends with many guys ( cocky and non ) and I believe what I say.

I didn't take it personally... Just didn't feel like explaining how wrong that statement was.
Very professional approach
Sometimes I just smile at dumb comments like that. They get the point.
At least we don't have to worry about that dude getting into a Vette and diluting our intelligence pool!
You should of politely asked him if he'd care to try out his "high-tech" car against your "50's technology" car in a straight line, or in the twisties - his choice.
