The thing is that led's are a 20 year device. If the led's aren't lighting up it's probably a switch or connector not the light. My .02 Let us know what you find. I'd put voltage to the unit to see if it lights before buying another one. Keep us posted.

The third brake light is indeed an LED unit. It lists for $100. at either Ecklers or Mid America (probably not the best price). Remove either one of the inboard brake lights to gain access to the third brake light. It is attached with two screws from the bottom. There is a two pin electrical plug that plugs into the bottom. I agree with the previous post, LEDs should last for a long time. I would check the electrical connection and the water tightness of the light unit.
I ran a quick test as was suggested and guess what. It was a loose wire. Luckily I did not have to take the light out, I just unplugged and replugged the light. Now I have a $92 replacement. Lesson Learned: If you want good advice, be patient! bj98
