So how are the 2003-2004 C5s holding up. Since these are the last two years of the series did they get all of the little bugs worked out? How are these 2003-2004s holding up??? What improvements did they do in these last years???
I had a 2004 coupe before buying my 2002 vert. Checking the TSBs and recalls, there are far less in the 2003 and 2004 model years compared to the previous ones.
I have had my 2004 for three months now (DD)- bought it used in Jan. I had a wierd problem with the transmission poping out of reverese- dealer fixed. Had another issue with a bad wire triggering a message in the DIC about washer fluid- dealer fixed that too. Aside from that she's tip top.

Hey Darth Vader,
Still sittin' on the fence? Think of all the time your'e wasting deciding on which C5 to get! Still have your C4 or have you sold it yet?
Take the plunge! You'll be glad you did!
For more specific info, check out the sticky :"Weights, measurements, ratios, strengths" on the main page. Lots of useful information covering all years of production.
about 14 months 16000 + miles and only problem was column lock .Loving everyminute of driving this thing. Did a 760 mile trip last Friday at 90 MPH for the most part and still got 25 MPGs . and a huge the whole way!
They never did fix the transaxle "weeping" problem in any year, it seems (C6 may even have it still?). Other than that, fine so far.
My transaxle was also weeping (2004) continually. During the 3rd attempt to get the dealer to figure out the problem, they removed the rear end and automatic transmission and discovered that a score on the output shaft from the transmission was ripping up the seal to the transaxle (I believe that is the correct order of parts fit). There was fluid from the transaxle everywhere. The dealer ended up replacing the transaxle because they destroyed it while attempting to replace the seal.
