I Have 62k on my 1998 And Never Had Any Trouble.

I would not own a C5 (or a C6, for that matter) out of warranty, unless I was independently wealthy.

Period.

Some people have exceptional cars, but the general rule is that you will experience some very expensive problems.

I've got a 97 with 88K on it. Bought it used and a warranty. Had new tranny (A4) iinstalled and that paid for warranty alone. Car is driven everyday and runs like a beauty.

I would never by a used vette and not buy a warranty !!

I'm pushing 80k on my '99 MN6 daily driver and have changed the battery, shocks, seat foam and fluids. Well HE.. I did more then that on my last Honda and didn't have near the fun.

Simpe things like allowing the engine to warm up for a minute helps save wear and tear.

Good point! Usually when a sensor is out or going out, it won't read pressure at all, and put XXX where the psi should be.
