Dave,

That thing is real?!?! I thought it was a photochop. Post pics of it!

I should clarify, I don't carry pics of the Vette with me (though they are on my laptop which seems to follow me around) ready to flip out at a moments notice when the friends whip out the kid pics. Sorry my poor attempt at humor.

Oh and I plan to have the kids once I nail down the right chick or would that be nail the right chick.... ha ha...nevermind that sounds way wrong.

Hey what are DINKs anyway? Missed that acronym.... I am sure I could figure it out but got work on the brain.

Not sad at all. They have their kids, you have your baby (C5).

Two kids. Did the mini-van thing for 6 years. Bought my vette in January, after #2 graduated with his masters. PIA? Yes, but wouldn't trade either one for anything. Nice to be able to drink beverages with them, when they are home. Vette was worth the wait. And since the Vette is MN6, no chance of either one driving, but both claim to be able to drive MN.

Don't know about "Dinks" either.

I wasn't cracking you you...I got the humor.

After I made the boat comment I just wanted to clarify that I didn't carry pics of it around...wasn't directing the comment toward you but I do see now how you may have thought that I was.

That makes sense...I was getting jealous thinking of the warehouse full of vehicles you must have.

I'm in the same boat. 35 years old, single with my convertible. Most of my friends are married, many with kids. Everytime I see them they ask, "So how's the Vette? You must get so many chicks." Or "Still trying to hold on to your youth, eh?" I'm sure you guys have heard it all.....

Best comment I got was from my best bud when I was about to buy the car - "You're getting a Corvette and what am I getting? New kitchen cabinets. WTF?!!??!? "

Hey Neighbor,
To answer your question- NOOOOOO it is not sad...
I am only one year older than you and had 3 kids in 3 years (twins+1) so be careful what you wish for- it can happen real quick... as for sad how is this:
Don't get me wrong- my family is my life but to have some fun:
1. The Corvette is sitting in the garage from the time I get home from work on Friday until the time I go to work on Monday. Very rarely do I get to even take it out of the garage on the weekends. It isn't always a good idea to park the car in the driveway when 3 young ones are running around with sidewalk chalk, tricycles, battery powered jeeps, plastic golf clubs, rock collections, on and on and on!!!!
2. I don't even get the time to take care of the car- that is saved for hand washing at a local car wash on lunch break!
3. I can't buy stingers because Mickey Mouse has an attachment on my income (not really, but it sure feels like it!)
4. Since I am only driving the car during rush hour, I rarely get to see other vettes and when I do most of them are pleasure cruising when I am going to freakin work.
5. Then on the weekends when I am cruising in the Suburban I try to wave to other vettes but they don't see me!
I had some fun with this one... again- I love my family and I am happy to be lucky enough to have the vette too! Don't worry about not having a family for at least another 20+ years- You are still plenty young!

Maybe I should keep pics in the wallet as that would be pretty funny.

Woah! Twins, man, talk about changing focus real quick!!!
Yeah I started this thread for a laugh and you just gave it to me. I keep telling my friend Mike to invest in Disney or Sponge Bob as his daughters really add to the bottom line of those companies. Yes I already decided that I must have a house with separated garages so that if I do have kids I can quarantine the Vette. I'll look for a wave from a Suburban.

Yeah, and I'm SINKing all my money into my Vette.

The nieces and nephews love the car though.

She totally suppoted my decision to buy my 'Vette if she said no I probably wouldn't have got the car . Thankfully she said yes so I could become a member of this cool forum .

Ha ha....I'll have to look for you on 322 or the GSP. You know I have never been to Storybookland or the CM Zoo - but then again I bet neither did you before huh?

Oh and Target Chaser, I feel your pain though lately I have been SINKing money into my other one billion hobbies (kite surfing will be the next to SINK money into), dates with ladies, and of course polluting my liver.
