Was at a family event last night that also incorporated some close friends as well. It was my 2nd cousin's 3rd birthday. I find all of my cousins and friends talking about their kids and showing pictures of their little toddlers and what do I have to offer: pics of the Vette.
Then again my 2nd cousin thinks I am pretty cool with the car so he and I pulled a Houdini to go outside and off-road his battery-powered Jeep...ha ha. 32 and at the same maturity level as the 3 year-old.
Then again later that night of coarse all the married guys, beer in hand, all huddle around me to hear the latest adventures of the single guy. So maybe I answered my own question.
Not sad at all, just different interests - kids are a luxury, so are Corvettes. My wife and I are DINKs and come across this situation a lot. Doesn't bother us though, especially when we get those longing looks from the dads driving the minivans as we cruise by in the Vette!

My grandson loves to ride in the Vette with me... I also enjoy playing catch with him and taking him to the park. Guess I have the best of both worlds... I'm also giving him piano lessons and he's doing very well... Next, I'm going to teach him how to properly wash Red Racer
DINKS here too. Funny how people think you are some kind of freak or have a health prob. if you don't have kids. Also hate the fact when my Vette passes most parents give me a dirty look like I'm out to kill their kids. Strange though how their kids go nuts over the Vette. I will NEVER try to show Vette pics. when parents are showing off their family. They will be insulted. But kids are great......other peoples.
You guys with the kids and the Vette are real lucky and cool parents in my book. Had to help one of my friends cope with the loss of his coupe (not a Vette) to a minivan. He was real excited showing me those cool features like the stow and go seating and all I could do was snicker...
Not sad at all. My wife & I have been pounded on for years about the "no kid" thing. I tell people we DO have kids, there small & furry..3 of them to be exact The license plate reads R KDS R K9. I don't mind kids as long as there someone elses

Anyone else in that boat?
Speaking of boats...I have pics of that too. No I don't carry them with me though.
That's not sad! You're only 32 and you never know, kids could be in your future. I have kids....love them. They are on their own now so it was time for me to buy a corvette. Love it too!!

Hey Charlie-
Since we're the same age, I gotta tell ya ... that's not sad. We've all heard the saying, "There's no difference between men and boys, except the price of the toys." BTW, it's more like we're 15 ... not 3 It's a fact!
I built a mini-me of my car and take it with me to shows sometimes ... everyone loves it.
