Windseld Heads up display
I just had my windshield repaired " a rock ". I was informed that if I was to replace the windshield with heads up display it was almost double the cost.
I remember reading a thread were you could install heads up on your car as a kit although you did not have to change the regular windshield.
QUESTION if I ever do have to replace the windshield can I just use a regular windshield?

No HUD = $271.42

The HUD is suppose to be more reflective. If you look at them side by side, esp. in the right light you can tell a slight difference. If the $$$ is coming out of your pocket I think you'll be perfectly happy with a regular windshield. If the insurance company is paying, make them buy you the HUD one

I was told that the HUD winshield is slightly staggerd.....The wind shield is made up of two pieces of glass with a sheet of film in beetween to bond them (safety glass construction) to keep the HUD display sharp the safety film at the bottom is a little bit thiker at the bottom to align the reflection of the HUD thrue both sheets
