I was driving along I-5 and all off a sudden my gas gauge goes to 0 and I get hit with the P1431 C code. Since I've read about this problem on the Forum way before hand I knew it wasn't a big deal and figured techron could fix it up (Thanks Forum members!!!). These past days I've been using ARCO... Anyways, my girlfriend was scared out of her mind when she heard that chime and saw that the gas gauge went to 0. Calmly I said, "oh no we're out of gas..." her response was funny she said, "how the heck can you be so calm! Pull over or we're going to DIE!, NO FAMILY!, NO FUTURE!, NO 2006 Z06!" thats when I told her about the gas gauge on vettes having the tendency to swing about like a baseball player. If this forum didn't exist I would have reacted the same way she did and perhaps get into panic induced accident. Anyways its fixed now, just thought I'd share a story

Thanks for sharing...I've never had that happen before....something to look out for.
I too use Techron fuel injector cleaner on a regular basis...used to have bad fuel problems with an early 3rd gen f-body and Technron seemed to always clean it up. Looks like I'll be buying more from Costco....
