Default C5 Roll Hoops

Wondering if any of those that are coming to the Forum Cruise-In @ the NCM next month have any interest in having our custom hoops available for sale/installation on site?
Will be there if interest warrants.
Thanks.

I've already had mine installed but did have a question/comment to add.

Putting in the hoops is only half the fun completing this mod.

Are you going to have someone there who can professionally trim and reinstall the carpet? Trimming in the carpet isn't a task for amatuer DIYers.

Trimming the carpet to fit around the hoops is a "precision" skill that, if done improperly, detracts from the appearance of the vert (OK, it looks like crap ). The replacement carpet piece is about $75 and still has to be trimmed in to fit properly.

You are 100% correct. The installation of the hoops is the easy part. Without a doubt, fitting the carpet is the most precise. That's why we have the owners leave during that part.
We have installed many, many sets on site and all have turned out perfect. We have two guys who do the install and they are very precise. They installed a set in my CE Vert and I'm the pickiest guy on the planet.

Apparantly no interest so I guess we'll skip it.

I would be interested in having this done either at the event if I can make it or if I could make a special trip to your place of business. How much for the complete job? How long does it take to install?
Thanks,
Mark

Do these roll hoops let us take our verts on the track?

ummmm.....no

they're for looks only, not functional at all. You need a real roll bar for that

It would be great if the General either made roll bars stock, like so many other performance verts, or had them as a factory option.

What other "performance verts" have a factory roll bar option? I've never heard of any?

Mine were installed last week. Cut the supporting bracket off. Set bars where they needed to go, cut the circle (in carpet), welded bracket back on. NO carpet slices. Had leather ring sewed around tubes to complete clean install.

Lancer is correct. for any DEs or track time a minimum of a SCCA Solo I roll bar, 4-point with diagaonal brace made from 2"diameter mild steel, and 2" above your helmet would be required.

Might you have any close-up pictures of this mount?

Whew, I guess that's one way of doing it. Honestly, we have installed many, many sets on-site and the "slice" is virtually unnoticeable and fits the tube exactly. Glad your install went well.
Thanks for the responses about the Forum/NCM upcoming event. Looks like there is interest and I'll post in the next few days whwther we'll be on-site.

Looks like there's some interest so we'll be at the Forum event @ the NCM on the 26-28th selling/installing the hoops. For those wanting a set installed, come see us the afternoon of the 26th and we'll make appointments for installation both Friday and Saturday.
Should be able to display a CE Vert and a z16 Z06 with them so y'all can see how they look.
Thanks for the comments.

We sell them for $500.00 per set. These are show quality chrome pieces made of 2" tubing and with brackets that have been designed to sit properly on the cross rail. Very strong.
By design, there is no problem with tank clearances so they are bolted in, not glued, allowing you to remove them, should you ever decide to do so. Also they outline the shape of the seats perfectly.
Normally we charge $100.00 for installation, but may have a special for Forum members, if there is enough demand.
Installation takes about an hour.
See y'all at the NCM.
