I'm In I've received way too much from this forum to not contribute. I've learned a bunch, met some great folks and had a ton of laughs here. I consider many that I've "met" here friends.

Paul

p.s. I want to see my traditional stars back however....I'm just about to make 3,000 and now I won't see it.

I agree that the forum has given me countless hours of entertainment, valuable info on the car, tons of mod ideas, etc. As soon as I can, I'll be joining in as a Lifetime Gold Member.

But I too still like my little red, white and blue stars.

I just made my payment. This forum has saved me more than I contributed, but it's a start.

Good thread!
I was going to post something relative but was afraid of causing someone to feel pressured...

Just watch it with MyVetteDream - he loves the "group hug" thing. So just make sure you know where his hands are at...

To get serious for a moment and believe me I hate to but seems to me like there are a lot of tight wads here (didn't expect this from the Corvette crowd)! If you think I am all wet on this just go over to the for sale section and try and ask for a resonable price for something and see how you get low-balled out of the room.

As long as something is free people are willing to use it but as soon as a contribution is asked for they're nowhere to be found. I've seen constant complaints about how the search function doesn't work and how slow the forum is at times all the while the Administrators are working to improve it for us. I thought people would come out of the woodwork to support this but I guess I am wrong.

The only reason I took it upon myself to rant is I know the Admins aren't going to push hard on this. But if they don't get a reasonable response to this they might be forced to make it a pay sight one day. And boy I can just hear the crying then.

No one else is having to charge for forums (automotive nor Hometheater... the ones I frequent often).

I see no history/data/statistics to back up your claim that :
if they don't get a reasonable response to this they might be forced to make it a pay sight one day

But I won't push it any further with you; since I know that all Pewter C5 owners are a special segment of the Corvette community
