This Forum has been great entertainment and a fountain of knowledge for all of us for more than 5 years

It's always been free and therefore the greatest entertainment and information value on the planet!

It's still going to be free...Troy pledged that way back in 1999 and has stuck to it

But, with growth comes need for resources!

Please check out the topic at the head of each section and consider adding some STARS (maybe they will make them smaller) to your name

seeya

A few days ago, a new member asked about the stars and how to earn them. The response was based on the number of posts. Is there something to it more than that? Sorry for the stupid question.....

The little stars are based on the number of posts you make. So are their colors.

What jack is talking about is the Supporting Member stars. You can look at his and my avatars and see the difference in the "stars".

Basically, supporting member status means you have made a financial contribution to support the continuation and enhancement of this forum.

Check out the Supporting Member link and find out all about it

I was looking forward to seeing those myself. I think we need both the supporting member graphic AND the old star system.....

Why not have an annual support fund raiser and an easy way to contribute, say Paypal? Have it in the spring when everyone is getting ready for summer driving.

Hey Tim,
Some Gold Stars would go great with that Pewter Pred Mask! I liked the silver ones ... they compliment my MSG more.

Ooops, my bad, didn't read the topic header first. But what I was so poorly trying to suggest was that if folks want to send just $5 or $10 instead of the supporting member amounts, just to lend some support, it may bring in a considerable amount. Myself, I'm doing the supporting member thing.

I'll take that 5 or 10 if it's just laying around being wasted.

As soon as mod fever abates (if ever) I'm in. I would like to support this Forum that have given me so much entertainment - and information as a sideline

But I want my other stars that I have right now as well *pout* I worked hard to get to almost 4000 posts - hijacked threads, busted caps and split wigs
