Vette's wrecked, currently in the shop.

So I'm driving a rental 2005 Mustang (lot's of comments). Vette pulls up next to me at a stop light, beautiful blue '70s. Completely forget that I'm drivin' a Stang and give him a thumbs up! He returns it and smiles!

I wave at all Vettes - if they don't wave back, I just figure they are missing out on all the fun.

Seriously now... did you not already know this ?

I agree with JDs00PewterCoupe, it seems that the drivers that don't wave are usually in a C5.

About 25% of the women I see wave! A week ago a young female in a white C5 went out of her way to wave, all the while talking on a cell phone!! She was going the opposite direction.....can only guess how she was steering!

Just be glad you live in a town that had so many Vettes. I usually only see 1 or 2 a day, if I'm lucky.

I'm not slipping ... I was just waiting for you to tire out so I would have an easy kill.

Everything will be covered ... no problemo. But $1000.00 for repairs?

Yup. After I read this thread yesterday, I made a conscious decision that I would wave at every vette I saw on my drive that day, just to see what happens.

I only saw two other vettes. Both C6's and the first guy completely ignored me (Both were going the other way so maybe he had slow reaction time?).

The other guy saw my wave and as he passed it LOOKED like he was pulling his arm up to wave back...so I'll give him that one.

Later when I went to the grocery store, a BEEYOOTIFUL black Viper coupe had sort of made up his own parking spot right by the front of the building. Best looking Viper I ever saw. Period. I happened to be walking outside when the owner was packing his groceries, and I commented on the nice car. He gave me some mod specs and I said "Cool! I just got my Vette over there a couple weeks ago..." and as I motioned to my black C5 he just sort of ignored what I said and kept talking about how he's gonna supercharge his Viper to 850 HP.

Very nice, but Im completely not used to having someone ignore my car anymore. That was such a blow to my ego! Ah well....that WAS a super nice looking ride.

Vette owners are much more considerate with the thumbs ups.

Im gonna try again today when I go out for a drive.

Cheers!~~~JadeDragon

Ha, in general I think women have their heads up their bungs when they drive and they plain just dont see anything, especially a wave.

haha that may be true...

I think a lot has to do with the type of person driving the car. It seems to me like guys who have vettes tend to be more into them, then just driving them. on the whole, there are more men on this forum, there are more guys modding vettes and more guys into cars....The women who drive vettes are probably more along the lines of thinking its a nice car, but they dont take things as far as the guys. They have it, they're happy and thats that. so by percentage i think you would have a harder time finding a woman who understands the wave then you would with a guy.

*BTW*NOT TRUE FOR ALL WOMEN, BUT MOST.... AND FOR THE WOMEN ON HERE I LOVE YOU
