i don't really care if they wave or not, it's not gonna mess with my day...my GF has a laugh at us though just about everytime she sees me wave
I have had really good luck with the wave overall. I can't say anything about the age group of wavers, because I haven't paid that much attention. Because I also ride a Harley, I wave a lot and I think it is a great, friendly way to acknowledge each others rides. On Lopez Island in the San Juan Islands, everybody waves and it doesn;t matter whether or not you are driving a Vette or a beater.
I was kind of surprised when I got my vette and others started waving at me (reminds me of my motorcycle days). It's pretty much just other C5's though. I don't think I've seen any C6's wave yet although I've tried waving at them.
