Default No return wave

I was coming home today and a C6 came up behind me at a stoplight. I waved, and got nothing. A few blocks down the road, he was along side and I waved again...all I got in return was atitude. Now, I know he saw me. This is the first time I have not received a wave when I know they have seen me. I wave at all vintage's of Corvettes...still will.

I've had my vette for 3 month now. I passed by 2 vettes and no wave. Then I passed a '67 camero and he waved. After the 3rd vette I got . Finally felt like part of the family. What's up with that?

I wouldn't worry about it. It's not like the dealer tells you when you buy the car "you know, you have to wave at every vette you see." He probably was thinking "do I know this guy - and why does he keep waving at me"

C6 guys think their better than us, "I'm gonna ignore that guy, he is not in my class." Some C6 guys ignore me too.

With all the things of concern these days, I sure wouldn't let a Vette driver with an attitude bother me in the least. You will find them driving any generation of Vette but there are far more that enjoy the experience and are more than happy to acknowledge another owner. Here's one from Indy

I believe that many of the the drivers who don't wave were never told about the "WAVE" when they bought their car.

When I meet individual Vette drivers I ask them if they know about the "WAVE" and most don't.

I tell them that the "WAVE" is a long tradition of Vette owners acknowledging that we are driving the finest sports car ever built in America.

I used to ride a motorcycle and riders also generally wave to each other. (unless of course one's a Harley and one isn't.....but that's another story) When I got my Vette, I picked up on the wave thing immediately. I thought it was great to be part of the "brotherhood". If someone doesn't wave back it's their ignorance or maybe they don't care. Either way, I'm always going to do the right thing and wave.

He's a driver, not an enthusiast. C6 is probably the first vette he's owned.

When that happens to me, I just think, oh well. There are plenty of other Vette owners that will wave.

It could have been my wife. After she got by and a few miles down the road she would say "Oh crap, I forgot to wave"

For some of us it is a "Corvette" for others it is just expensive transportation to get from point A to B.

Tried to talk to a C6 owner at the dealership the other day and he acted like he was "King sh::".
Found out that he was there because his financing fell through.
They were offering him a free shuttle ride to the local CU.
Just got my oil changed, smiled as I slipped into my C5 and left. What a buttwipe he was.
