well i work at GM the corvette plant and the GM discount is not that great I had a dealer tell me one time i would have been better off not to told him i worked at GM that i would have got a better deal on the car Ford or Dodge will give me a better deal than GM
I agree,GM is in big trouble!they still don't get it,though!PRICE THE FRIGGIN CARS RIGHT IN THE FIRST PLACE,PAY ATTENTION TO QUALITY/RELIABILITY,AND PUT A LONGER WARRANTY ON ALL CARS TO COMPETE W/ASIANS,NOT FORD!!!!!AND BINGO,THEY WILL SELL CARS AGAIN,WITHOUT HAVING TO DROP THEIR DRAWERS!!!
Thats why I always wait until Sep-Dec, they are dying to get the stuff off the lot.
Where do you see that? The same TB I purchased was 43k in January and 43k in November. Never went up or down all year with the exact same options.
You build your own car/truck with options and print it out now for and '05 and in November the MSRP will be the same. I do this every time I buy a new car/truck every few years.
GM has traditionally had price increases a couple of times a year. I have actually seen two identically equipped vehicles on a dealer's lot with different MSRPs! The difference was the build date.

I guess it depends on the market you live in. I know when I bought a truck a few years ago, I walked across the street to a Ford dealer, told them I could get the GM Employee discount, and asked what they coukd do for me. They said they could do better, but in the end, they didn't come close. This was before the redesign of the F-150 when the Silverado was a superior product.
