Courtesy light problems

Hi all, I'm new to the group and just purchased a 98 M6 a few months ago. I had something strange happen and thought I would see if anyone has had a similar problem. One evening I opened the door but none of the courtesy or reading lamps came on. I tried to turn them on using the panel brightness control but that didn't work either. I've switched out the micro relay in the fuse box with another but still no luck. The strange thing is that I can turn on each reading lamp with the switch so it's getting power. Any ideas on what I could try next? I figure you guys are smarter than any dealer could be. Thanks for the help.

You switched out the relay or the #11 fuse in the pass. foot well?

You're right, there are a couple of blown fuses that I found. Once I replaced them it works fine. Thanks for your help.
