Hmmm 4 - 2 - 7. Did you hear that, I heard it too. 427ci. Twin Turbo Nitrous injected. Damn voices. Just Kidding

Stu I love your vette but I think Brian (C5 KIDD) has it right. C6 Z06. A new canvas to express what we have all come to know as STU.

Later,
Max

PS When will council members be inducted. I would like to be first in line.

might think of staying with 18 inch but last time I look for new wheels for my Nitto's...
...I bought a 2nd set of chromies...
...I now have 2 sets 18X98.5 and 18X10.5
Im afraid if I look for another new set Ill end up with 3 sets of chromies

Good ideas...though...
hmmmm I could go for selling both sets of wheels with tires and sensors...
then throw some more dough on new set... I like that!

But the more you have the more problems that can happen. If your happy stay that way trust me. I have done about as much as you can to a C5 and dealing with some of what I delt with getting to this point almost makes it not worth it.
Jon

I feel your pain...
...I cant say it wasnt worth it though...lots of funny getting here and lots of fun driving it anywhere...

I love the silver paint...and except for StuzStipez
...I will probably never add flames or stripes...as good as they look...

...incidentally...being happy is what I am with StuzVette...
Perhaps I am bored with being happy...

...guess I may just have to become more creative

...this probably isnt the time to start the discussion...but as much as I want a Z06...I dont want another coupe style back...

now that would be a cool project...
...buy the Z06 then cut it up into a convertible...

actually checked on buying a convertible and added the 427...GM has no option for that build...yet...

...and then right before the new cam...
but not until after I had installed the new exhaust system...

...I guess I would spend more money on StuzVette...
...but at what point do we undo our old mods to accommodate the new mods...
Oh wait I have already done that too...
...changed chrome in the engine bay to go to aluminum...
...preferred the machined metal look under the hood...
...changed exhaust system...

...as I have slowed down I discovered that the one new single mod is more expensive than 2, 3, or more I have already done...

...but with each step the mods have brought me to this point and I repeat I like where I am...

I have noticed some around here go to the mod booth...and get 'er done...
...and others revisit the mod booth and get 'er done again and again...until its done...

Like I said, I know two other hard core modders that thinks they have done it all - and like you, is wondering what to do next. Like you, they think if they do anymore, it will look overdone.

And while I am not a fan of either of your 2 latest mods - that's just my own humble opinion. Do not let that stop you!!!

Mod On, Stu!

You (and those other 2 crazies) carry the flame for poor neophytes like me to look up to, emulate and follow.

Lead on!!

and maybe the StuzStipez are the symtom not the problem...
(BTW you know that Brian has seen StuzStripez in person and )

if leading is what I must do though...
...that must be done ...even if leading is following you into audio changes...

we've had our 90 mustang since new, the mods we did to it were very well done and tasteful .. i couldn't imagine not having our baby in the family.

Im not attached to StuzVette as I thought I might become...

...I was attached to the making of StuzVette...

but I enjoy it more than any other car I have had...

...you know you may have hit the my dilemma on the head...

Ever since Jami let me drive her C6 I have been wanting to mod her vette...
...she doesnt want me to mod her vette...

so your right... she wont let me put my grubby hands on her C6

Boy what I could do to that C6 convertible!!! yaaaaaaaaaaaaHOOOO

ughuh....sorry! ...got carried away....

Ever since she got that vette Ive though putting more money in StuzVette was another dollar stolen from the mods on the C6. even if it is her C6 (she reminds me often...)

To make matters worse...she is content with her vette the way it is...
...imagine that...to modders that is the kiss of death...its killing me

Max and others too who suggest the Z06...or other project car with the 427...
I think if I stop modding...its to devote more attention to StuzC6427Vert...
That doesnt have a great ring to it but that C6 vette would be ideal...

Perhaps the other part of the dilemma is indeed spending more on a vette I am no longer devoted to...
There Ive said it... I want a divorce...I have my eye on another...

Thankfully I think my position as Pastor is intact under the circumstances... (It IS a car...)

I want to put my grubby hands on a C6 convertible...

And like you, I have also modded my mods - and changed direction, and gone forward - then backwards - then sideways...

It's all fun. Right now I'm contemplating tossing out most of my stereo (well some major components anyway) and redoing it

So I know that feeling of "it's not quite done" very well

Good luck on the probably upcoming StuzVert VI project

Okay I have my flame suit on What about just taking the time to step back and enjoy what you've accomplished with the Vette so far...then at some point start a new project. I know pretty boring and probably not what you want to do or will do, but I just wanted to add that perspective.

There is a great sense of joy in enjoying a job well done.

Don't mean to hijack Stu's thread - but yes, I'm going to change the MP3 Sony head unit, the MP3 Sony 10 disc changer , the RF crossovers and redo some of the wiring. Probably late summer before I do that - have to complete my suspension and cam first

Now back to Stu's dilemma - Oh, the Drama!! StuzVert VI !!!!

The way its going though...I feel like it might happen that I end up buying back the parts I just took off...
