leeman, the P51 was unpainted. Natural shiney aluminium finish. Only marking I noticed was a straight black stripe from the leading to trailing edge in the center under each wing.
You got an idea who that crazy man was?

Fiday evening I was on a three lane highway headed for my beach house when a black (4 wheel) Mustang GT convertible flew by me weaving in and out of the right hand lanes. My first thought was to chase him but decided to stay put. A few minutes later there is a State Trooper behind me, so I move to the middle lane. About a minute later another LEO goes flying by. Then I see a Helicopter hovering a few miles ahead. When I get to the scene the Mustang has been pulled over by a third LEO, the 2 others were just puuling behind him and the Helicopter was still hovering overhead.
I hope I never get into that position.
