We use nitrogen at work in our tires Of course those are aircraft tires

Even better, put a vacuum pump on them and remove all the air. Then they will weigh even less than with hydrogen, helium or any other gas.

My chemistry years are many moons ago, however I do know that air weighs roughly 1.204 milligrams per cubic centimeter. So if you know the volume of air in the tires in cubic centimeters (cm3) you can figure out haow many grams it would weigh. Since there are 28.47 grams per ounce, and we arwe talking millingrams per cm3, I doubt it weighs enough to make a huge impact on shipping.
