Heard the same comments with every series change except the C1 to C2. Most thought the C2 was very attractive

The 1984 and the 1997 corevette models had the most dramatic body style changes of all other gens. Unfortunately, the '84 cross fire was a POS.

I said the same comments about the C5 when it came out. I have had 4 C4's and thought the C5 just didn't look right compared to the C4. Now I have a C5 and love it. It just takes a little time for the changed looks to grow on you. Right now I do not like the C6 but that will probally change.

Today, with 6000 miles it would be put on the lot for just over $40,000.
The local dealer who bought my '04 CE Coupe with 10000 miles would be happy to get $37K for it.

Yup, GM choked the SH%T out of the 84 by putting a restrictive intake on her, but the Z51 package could handle any road you threw at her. And I know quite a few guys in the Crossfire Injection Forum who can put some C5's to shame. If it becomes mainstream info the stuff these guys are doing to make the CFI Vettes run, expect the attitude toward the 84 to change.

Minor mods are all that is needed to make the 84 run. With changes to only airfilter, fuel pressure, and exhaust, my old 84 pulled 247 rwhp. That's what GM should have shipped it with. But then it would have outperformed the TPI (oooops!)

GM did a smart thing for the bottom line by mainstreaming the C6 Vette, but the Vette has never been a mainstream car. I like the blue, but I'm not rushing toward a $700/month car payment.

Typically, used car prices for sports cars rise in the summer months, fall during the winter. I bought my 02 Coupe for $4000 under list in January because there was 3 inches of snow on the ground in Maryland and the CarMax there hadn't sold a sportscar in 2 months. But you should have seen the prices on the 4x4 trucks.

Not me. The 1st time I saw a C5 i no longer liked my C4 I mean it was far more exotic than the C4 and the C5 convertible roof (for us vert lovers) had a totally different "cool" lock-in-place design. It was night and day. The C5 vs C6 is mid afternoon and late afternoon.

Default c6

i am very happy with my c5 i think the c6 interior is nicer
then the c5 but thats about it. ithink the rear is ugly and
the rest of the car is chopped off. i think they will come
up with some refinements when they see it is not selling
as well as they hoped for.

My C5 has appreciated since I bought it 10 months ago. With the mods I have added, it's now worth $56,000 according to Kelly Blue Book.

isn't it great that a car, no matter how crappy the paint is or the interior can completely suck and setting at a stop light people will stare at the vette over most anything on the road. Unless of course the Nash Rambler beside you has a topless Blonde in it.
It does not matter what model Vette it is their "Bitchin" factor is way high!!!

Funny thing most dealers are sold out of the 05's and they are taking orders for the 2006 model year.

C6s were advertised this past weekend at 3500 off here. Not sure you would see that if people were standing in line with suitcases full of cash.

I like 'em all.
