Default Heat problem

Hey guys! I'm having this annoying heat coming from the center portion of the cockpit, I've notice the heat goes away when the AC is on, but otherwise it gets very hot inside, especially near my right leg. What should I check, or what should I do? I noticed the heat increased after installing my borla x pipe and mufflers. I have no headers and I have stock cats. (Kalifornia rules ) Anyhow, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

A ceramic coated tunnel plate (available in steel or aluminum, from a number of forum vendors) will help keep the heat out (as well as stiffen up the chassis). Unfortunately, you will have to remove/reinstall your newly installed X-pipe to get at it.

It is normal. I've done 2 things that has almost completely eliminated the heat.
1. Tunnel brace helped.
2. Rejex insulation install from Crazy Cowboy (WWW.ExoticVette.COM) was the most effective.

Long Tube Ceramic Coated Headers will take the heat away from the foot wells in the cabin and the excess heat from the engine bay. Plus might add a pony or three

Thanks for all the input, the Rejex insulation sounds like the way to go and it's not that expensive. Thanks again brothers!
