Default Halltech intake question

I'm curious, what exactly is the difference in the years available for the Halltech intakes? I know the colors differs but I assume there is some hook-up difference as well because you can specify 1997-2000 black and 2001-2004 black.

Can the 2001-2004 intakes be made to work on a 97-00 car? Halltech only has the 2001-2004 intakes on their website & I'm interested in a red air bridge for my 99.

The 1997 through 2000 was the Halltech Tric. It has been taken off of the Market because of reported Hydroloc Problems. The Air Cleaner sits below the shroud practically on the road.

The Halltech Trap has been discontinued because it was a beotch to install.

The latest is the Halltech Stinger, but it is for newer models.

I believe there are issues with mixing the new intake with the older model C5s. Something about the plugs are smaller on the newer models.

E-mail Jim Hall. He will explain it all to you.

The Tric is the bottom breather. This is no longer sold.

The Sidewinder is also no longer sold. It has the Warhead filter facing the driver side front end.

The T1 is what is being sold now. It used to be sold with a carbon fiber airbridge. Now I think it's only available in red or black plastic.

The basic difference of the 97-00 and the 01-05 is the size of the airbridge MAF aperture. The MAF on the newer C5s are bigger and the sensor is integrated in it. The earlier C5s need a separate sensor that is connected via a hole on the lower left of the airbridge plus it is smaller.
