Wow!! That looks awesome, much better than the 53 conversion that most of us have seen.

The only thing that looks out of place is the windshield. It would be great if the kit include a more 62'ish wrap around windshield. Nevertheless, they did a great job!

I'm not one who particularly is into custom cars, but this appeals to me. '62 styling, C5 technology. Keep the wheels, after all it is a C5 underneath, and it brings out that point.

Kinda Funky lookin - but cool. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

The mid section with the windshield throws you but the interior looks great compared to the 62.

I bet it turns some heads "whats that?????"

I think the seat backs could be a little lower.

IM20AGN,

Perfect!!!!!!

Love it!!!!

Would do this in a heartbeat, but with two C6's on order, and two C5's being kept, don't know if I'll have the room.

Questions:

Is it necessary to keep the wheels (C5) sizes stock on your conversion?

Do you have a WEB site for these people?

Is there limitations on HP (I.e., my '99 has 619 at the crank, NA, so no change to the overall engine dimensions)?

Again - this is the best looking conversion I have seen - many, many congratulations

I like the retro look, I just think it doesn't look right, especially the windshield, side mouldings, and the interior... To each his own, though!

If you want the looks of a C1 but performance of a C5, then a MUCH better option IMO is this:

There is a guy named Rich Lagasse (CF name: richscorvettes) on the C1-C2 forum that has a C1 body on an updated C1 frame with C4 running gear and a C5 Z06 engine. . It looks WAY cooler than any of the C5 conversions, because the shape is perfect (even the windshield). Not until you look under the hood or under the car can you see what it is (except this guy has modern wheels on it)...

Here's the chassis:

And here's the finished product:

Here's his website:

Here's a company that makes C5 frames for C1's:

Sweeeettt !!! I wish I could see it in person. It does appear to be one of the better conversions. I do agree get rid of the thin spokes.
