OK:
here it goes. You may have heard of this mod, it converts a C5 into a 1962 look. Everything is C5 except the body panels they have been designed to fit the C5 Chassis the only thing on the body skins that isn't changed is the side view mirrors and the waterfall. The color was inspired by the 1958 Regal Turquiose with white coves. The company that does these is in Lakewood Washington my company did the tooling for this mod.
I chose to paint the coves a different color although the original were not painted they did paint the coves in 61
I also installed an AVIC-N1 which is really great
This mod is 4 inches wider and 2 inches longer then the original 62

So, let me know what you think.
Just to address some that may have comments like if you wanted a 62, why didn't you just get one. I had a 58 and a 66 and they just don't perform like the C5. Also, I can always go out and buy another C5 but this is going to be a very rare car.
I don't know, I kind of like it. It's like getting an AC Cobra kit car. Less expensive than the real thing if you really wanted one but can't afford it.
I like this mod a lot better than the body kit that looks like the '53. This really isn't too bad, and differs from the original style in a tasteful, but not forced, way. I think it's very well done.
It looks good. Although some replies disagree with it, I would much rather have the modern handling, engine and creature comforts of the C5 than an original '62 myself.
The original thin spokes really do look out of place though.
I think it is great!!! I would love to do that to my daily driver. I'll have to check out the cost. I assume you can choose the color combination since you chose to paint the coves? Enjoy.
I'd say it looks much more realistic than the other old vette kit, and think you need the wheels to "complete" the look. The other glaring difference is the windshield.
I think it looks the best out of all the other conversions I've seen. The color I am not sure. But it probably looks better in person. Good luck with it.
