Sounds like he expects that his order is the only one they have, the part is enroute and the tracking number has not been made available to Andy. If they told him they'd contact him with the tracking number and they didn't, maybe it was because they didn't have the number, and when they got it they'd pass it on. Also sounds like Andy went out of his way to contact Borla personally to get it shipped out quickly. That is good customer service.

What else can I do for him?
If you are asking for advice Andy, I'd tell him the whole truth and nothing but the truth (not that you didn't), and explain the process of drop-shipping, and your difficulties (personnel absence, parts out of stock, etc.) even if it hurts. Be as up front as you can, even if you are in too much of a hurry to do so.

I see no problem with A&A at all.

Edit - And for what it's worth, I have dealt with MANY businesses that don't immediately email the tracking #'s. Amazon actually is one of them. My last order arrived before I received any UPS tracking information.

Life is too short to worry about a tracking number not being emailed to you within a day or two. Your order was never in jeopardy as you are dealing with one of the most reputable vendors on the forum. Sit back have a cold one and when your Borlas arrive in the next few days slap those babies on and enjoy your car!

My very first mod was the framesavers from Andy and when I called he answered and was more than friendly telling me everything I asked. I have heard plenty about Andy on this forum, it's ALL been good. Sometimes when you have to wait on somebody else to give you your information there's not much you can do.

and this will in no way affect my opinion of A&A Corvettes. Class operation all around.

I think this public display of unhappiness is a bit premature
Especially when dealing with a vendor such as A+A whom has,and continues to do, so much for the corvette community

I mean this was following a holiday to start with,an online order to boot, and very well may not have even been read till the late afternoon on the 5th....who knows?

And I certainly appreciate his quick and direct response in this forum

Melissa told me FRIDAY they were shipped on Thur. She also told me she would follow up with Borla and get me a tracking number. That DID NOT happen. If she couldn't get one from Borla--all she had to do was to send me an email and let me know. Thats all I'm saying. It sounds like Borla is the culprit--but put the blame where it should be. It seems reasonable to me to want to know the status of an order that is 5 days old.

I have ordered from A&A once in the past and had no problem--but--I clearly think there has been a problem here. And for Andy to come on here and totally accept no responsibility for this situation is total Of course this is my opinion and my recourse is not to do business with him anymore.

This is actually commical.

You are actually upset because one of the most "WELL RESPECTED" corvette business owners in the country (not just this forum) didnt give you a tracking number on a part, even after he AND his wife "Personally" gave you their word that they were shipped????????
Were talking about 5 days here....

Your cutting him off as a business you purchase from??

I really hope that on that one sunday evening that you have your car torn apart and you just cant figure out how to fix this one little part, and you have no-one else you could possibly call, but you KNOW for a fact that all you have to do is call that ONE shop owner who forwards his business line directly to his cell phone and he would answer your question all while he is eating dinner with his family... You can say to yourself "HE HE HE, I TAUGHT HIM A LESSON BY NOT PURCHASING FROM HIM ANYMORE...."

I'm not being bias or anything... BTW, He's not at his shop right now anyways, he just loaded his wife (Melissa) and his head tuner (Charlie) in the car and drove 320 miles to Las Vegas to pick up my car cause its having a few idling and cooling problems. All because I couldnt get it out there due to my work schedule.
Dont worry though, he's leaving at 6am on his day off to drive back home 320 miles (In my car) so he can attend to the people who are worried about their tracking numbers..

Wow, this is interesting. The CF is indeed a hard crowd to please.

1. Unhappy customer complaining of a bad transaction.

Called and talked to Andy Thur morning and he assured me it would ship and I would be provided a tracking number that day. Friday--I called and spoke to Melissa and she assured me she would take care of it by days end. As of this morning , they still have not shipped as far as I know--no tracking number. All I can say--thats pretty bad business on their part. I'm sure they drop ship from Borla, but they could follow up better on their orders.
I know I have to communicate with my customers better than these guys do. Everyone has problems, but they clearly drop the ball here.

I would think anyone in Granbury, TX would be used to waiting a bit for things. I had to drive up to Ft Worth to get a Goodyear tire replaced when I lived there in 92.

Ice some beer and watch the boats on the lake this weekend. They'll be there soon.

Its frustrating waiting and getting confusing info. From what I personally know of Andy through my purchases, he was trying to fulfill the order all along. He's good people.
