Default Bad Transaction

I bought Borlas from A&A performance in CA. Sent the order on the 4th via their website. I did not hear from them on Tues--sent an email and was told they would provide tracking number no later than Wed. By end of Wed--still nothing. Called and talked to Andy Thur morning and he assured me it would ship and I would be provided a tracking number that day. Friday--I called and spoke to Melissa and she assured me she would take care of it by days end. As of this morning , they still have not shipped as far as I know--no tracking number. All I can say--thats pretty bad business on their part. I'm sure they drop ship from Borla, but they could follow up better on their orders.
I know I have to communicate with my customers better than these guys do. Everyone has problems, but they clearly drop the ball here.

I can understand your frustations, But I can assure you that Andy and Melissa are class act individuals and in not in business to rip anyone off. I have done lots of business with them and been more than satisfied. You are dealing with one of the largest Corvette Shops in the USA. All I can say is be patient.

Maybe so. But this is how you ruin your good reputation. For me, don't tell me anything that isn't fact. Don't make a promise you can't fullfill. And don't BS me to get me out of your hair. I won't be back and I'll spread the word like this.

Since he mentioned he spoke to Andy in his original post, are you saying Andy is someone not to deal with? He spoke to Melissa the day after Andy, and still has no info that the Borla's have shipped. Here is the quote from his post:

We have been in constant contact with this guy. We first saw the order on Tuesday after the holiday. By the following morning he's already emailing us and wanting to know what's going on. He was told that we would contact him as soon as they were shipped. We did exactly that. They were shipped directly from Borla on Thursday. ONE day after he contacted us. We usually stock them but we were out and Borla was doing inventory so we couldn't go get them. Greg at Borla shipped his directly. They HAVE been shipped. The customer HAS been notified that they HAVE been shipped. He just doesn't have a tracking number because I'm having a hard time getting one from Borla. Greg was out on Friday.
What else can I do for him?

Not to worry Andy, it sounds like you're being as attentive as reasonably possible. Glad to see you responded so quickly, before this got way out of hand.

End of story, hopefully a mod will lock this thread and let it dwindle away as a resolved issue

You can please some of the people all of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time. Some people are never satisfied. A&A has a very good reputation here. I got the frame savers, rocker rails from them with no problems.

I too have ordered from Andy on a couple occassions and recommend them to everyone.

This sounds like another thread that after hearing both sides of the story the whole truth comes out and just confirms what most of us have experienced.

I would call a bad transaction one where weeks go by with no communication, and there is little chance of a good outcome. It seems like there may have been some communications issues here, but I would not classify it as bad.

My suggeston is that we kiss and make up - your order is on its way so enjoy it.

A&A is about as stand up as you can get! Everytime I've called A&A Andy has answered the phone and took the time to answer my question(s) while juggling other tasks. Borla on the other hand is a different story. Try calling Borla and see what happens. Sounds like Borla was the culprit in the delay rather than A&A (if you can call a few days a delay). When I was in the market for the Stingers a few months back there was a 2 week backlog, no one had them.

I don't know A&A, Andy, or Melissa from a hill of beans except for what I read on the forum. I would hope that the thread starter would retract his negativism ............. Seems Andy has him covered..........

Your exactly right about ordering over the hoildays--on the 4th. And you state "already emailing you" by the 6th to ask if you got my order and provide a tracking number is out of line--I don't think so. AND--I beg to differ w/ you. Melissa told me FRIDAY they were shipped on Thur. She also told me she would follow up with Borla and get me a tracking number. That DID NOT happen. If she couldn't get one from Borla--all she had to do was to send me an email and let me know. Thats all I'm saying. It sounds like Borla is the culprit--but put the blame where it should be. It seems reasonable to me to want to know the status of an order that is 5 days old.

I have ordered from A&A once in the past and had no problem--but--I clearly think there has been a problem here. And for Andy to come on here and totally accept no responsibility for this situation is total Of course this is my opinion and my recourse is not to do business with him anymore.

Sounds like now that we hear Andy's story.......this guy was expecting the Borlas delivered the next day......from what I can see, he needs to have more patience
