Default Cup holder install question

First of all, don't yell at me for not buying from Girl-Ina-Box. I didn't find out about her until after getting one from Ebay. Anyway, it mounts with two screws and I'm not sure where to mount it safely (without hitting any wires). Can I just screw it in anywhere under the center console? Can I mess up anything?

Re-sell it on Ebay and get the one from Girl-in-abox. It just is not worth screwing into the car when you do not have to.

If you're putting it on the passenger side, feel under the plastic with a finger to be sure you avoid any wire or cable. Drill small holes , use as small a STAINLESS screw as possible. I used df tape as a backup. Works just fine............

You've got better options that drilling holes in your Vette for a cupholder

Girl-In-A Box is the best.......re-sell or turn it into something else but don't drill a cupholder into you car.

Okay, okay, alright! I'll drill it into the wall near my tool box in the garage and use it as a beer holder. It even says "CORVETTE" on it.

NONONON

NOt to give away Girl ni a Box's secret.. but I feel I must help you

Just do what she does.. screw it into a piece of black plastic, or clear plastic... measure the distance from the inside of the center console, (see her pics), to the bottom of the floor... drill it in and then just make it like hers... you are not reselling it, so patents don't apply... if you already bought it, then keep it and make it usefull, but for gods sake, dont drill into the car!!!!

I have the girl in a box (doesn't that just sound wrong???) and like it also. If I was to mount the version you have I'd drill as small a hole as I could and use a bigger bit if needed later. But your idea of mounting the 1 you have in the garage makes more sense.
