Hey guys. I'm not trying to nock the Z06 guys out there. I think they look good. Really like the rims and power upgrades, but not to much a fan of the Fixed Roof/Ducts in front of the rear tires/and the back glass that drops straight off. I just think that the car would look better or maybe have sold more if they had a glass top and full back glass. Just my opinion. I know it's ment to stand out and be different from other corvettes but just voicing my opinion......Anyone agree?
I know, not looking to mod my coupe anymore than i already have, just thinking out loud i guess. I know it's designed for speed, but just more of a fan of the regular coupes. Thanks for the info...

I absolutely love the looks of the FRC and Z06. Doesn't the Coupe have a higher top speed rating than the Z though...possibly due to the coupes aerodynamics???

Yeah i watched a video saying something like the C5 Coupe is the most aerodynamic corvette ever made. Something like that....
For me the ZO6 is an awesome vette, beleive they have sold everyone made just like the ZR-1s.
Your right, the Z06 is awesome car, didn't mean that they didn't sale just ment that maybe they would have been in more demand or sold faster if they had more options like the glass top. Love my glass top.

The first time I saw an FRC, I really didn't know what the heck I was looking at. I thought it was a kit somebody poorly threw together, mainly because the body panels were falling apart, and the front clip was 'enhanced' by a peice of what looked like electrical tape
However, the first Vette I ever owned was a Yellow Z06... a scaled-down replica given to me for my birthday by my brother and his wife.
Although I love the options of top up/top down/transparent top/opaque top, plus the more sleek look of my coupe, I hate the fact that a milisecond of distraction made me a member of the infamous and dreaded "FRC"...
I personally didn't like the FRC look at first - but I have to tell you, the more I see them, the more I love them!!! You have to appreciate each style for it's own. They all have their pluses and minuses. But I have to ask - how can you not love this car!!???

I don't much care for the brake ducts either but if you were racing it would of some advantage to have some cooling air going to them. As for the roof, I kind of like it. Not quite as much as I like the profile of the vert, but close. What I don't like is the slope of the standard coupe glass (althought it may be much more aerodynamic).
What bothers me most about the Z06 is the lack of tire pressure monitors and the little radio antenna, but both are weight advantages so I wouldn't complain.

Yeah I've read different things too, I think the 99 FRC coupe weighed about 90lbs less with the same options, but the Coupes often had more more gear.
The Z06 I think may have had a bit more weight trimmed off, plus again different options.

I kinda agree, the Z06 certainly looks more bad ***, but personally I prefer the sleeker appearance of the Coupe. The Z06 just seems to have a rather large **** heavy appearance.
I wonder how many people would change their mind if the regular Corvette was the FRC and the FASTER more POWERFUL Z06 was only available as a Coupe????
Still at the end of the day they all look great and would be perfectly at home parked up next to a Ferrari or Porshce.
