Maybe it's just me but when i had my c4 i kinda like having the gas tank lid hid away behind the back corvette emblem on the back of the car. Not a fan of having it an inch away from the door handle like on the C6's, but maybe that's just me. Also an idea no door handles, just let it pop open by remote.

id like to see a 6speed auto as well as man.. see base horse power upped to 425.. while the Z climbed to 585hp.. id like the option to chose better gear ratios.. like offer some 3.73's or 3.90, 4.10 from the factory, possibly displacement on demad for 30+mpg all the time, no more run flats... as far as looks.. make the *** bigger.. flip up lights.. and Id love to see side exhaust come back.

They have to do much better with the front end. How about a retractable roof? Chevy did it for the SSR truck, why not the Vette? An A6 or a paddle shifted manual and a 427 would be nice.

P.S. Less cutezy electronic stuff that can go bad. Back to basics.

Put "Corvette" back in the middle of the rear facia. That little "Corvette" on the lower right corner of the C6 rear facia doesn't cut it! When someone pulls up behind a vette they need to know that's what it is!

About 475bhp, awd which still feels like it has a rear wheel bias, not as round as the C5 but not as square as the C6. No soft suspension. Z51 should be stock. Continued excellent visibility, paddle shifting option, large rounded side scoops like the German wide body kit, front fascia like the one I'm working on, coil springs with Bose's new shocks, optional, non-5 spoke rims, optional spoiler that looks good, thumping sound system with built in subwoofer, continued quad tip exhaust.

Bring back pop-up lighting, bigger brakes, AWD option, factory fluid coolers, bullet proof trans and a min. of 550 hp. Last but not least.....MUCH better style than the C6. And maybe a burger and some fries too

I like the curves of the C5, not so much the angles and edges of the C6. Fewer electronic nannies, a somewhat de-tuned LS7, nicer quality interior, 6 speed paddle tranny and AWD as options, and for verts, either a roof that acts as a roll bar, or real roll bars, like so many other high performance roadsters, so we can take our cars to track days.

IMHO, GM missed the boat with the "Euro Vette". In their frenzy to make it smaller they made it look chopped off. Unfortunately, the way GM is leaking money these days there may not be a C7. And, then I will be forced to buy one of those C5.5s.

i don't think chev will opt for a motorized roof vette. they considered it for the C5 but dismissed it as it was too heavy.

i love hearing some of these opinions. it brings back a lot nostalgic thoughts of the late 60's BB cars. with 3.70, 4.10 getting a mention. along with a 427 and the upped horsepower. we have seen so much more power in the vette in recent years but for it to have 475-585hp from the factory, DAMN i just relis in the thought!!!!!

A detuned LS7 should be the base engine pushing 475 hp. The next Z06 should be a twin turbo 427. The general body shape should only change slightly, maybe having a rear greenhouse that wraps around to the targa top. There's a great rendering that was done back in 95 of what the C5 would look like that shows what I'm talking about. I have it at home and I'll see if I can scan it.

I like this idea. Lets see those pics

NOOOOOOOOOOOO! The headlights are the BEST thing about the C6.

I LIKE the C6 styling.. the only improvement I'd like to see from a C6 to a C7 is:

a) bring back the length. We're not driving sports compacts here..
b) ALL WHEEL DRIVE. Let us start putting that HP to the ground damnit!
c) Replace that plastic interior (especially the center console) with REAL METAL (brushed) or CF!
d) big brake option from the factory
e) NON-DATED OEM WHEELS - not the 80's styling wheels of the C6.
f) OUTSOURCE YOUR NAV - crappy oem nav
g) GET RID OF THOSE ROCKING SEATS - cheap *** seats in the C6 even.
h) GET RID OF THAT WEAK EXHAUST - Listen to the Mustang Cobra exhaust.
