I've been doing some tinkering and thought about some simple mod that I haven't seen as far as I know that anybody did as yet. I know some of us painted and or put decals on the corvette logo on the airbridge, but I also painted the headlight bezel with the same silver color as my car. Tell me what you guys think.
I painted the airbridge emblem with silver and red as some members did.
Here is a pic

As you can see, the silver is not really an exact match, but I could not find the matching paint code in a spray can off the shelf of the local auto parts store , so I just pick any GM silver and hoping it would be close.
Great idea Bud, that looks nice and clean Did you have to take the headlight assy apart to do that, or did you just carefully mask and shoot them in place? I want to do mine now
By the way, how do you have them opened with the headlights off?

You just need to remove the bezel itself. It's really easy, just 3 screws each headlight. And slowly tilt the bezel downward and out. You might need to reposition it a little bit to remove it, but should not be a problem.

I thought I was the only one who painted it - but I went a little and painted it red to match the red fender stripes, red calipers, red fog light surrounds and red front brake ducts screens
Guess I was wrong, there are a few who did the mod. I'm one of them now.

Don't get me wrong. I'm sure it's just business for Ken at Vette Shoppe. But for $120. To do it myself only cost me $15 in paint supply.( Plastic primer, color paint and clear coat) Although mine did not exactly match as said on my first post. But I'm satisfied and close enough for me. Nothing against vendors though.
I have them but can't remember who I bought them from. They really do look alot better then the black dull plastic, which is chealp looking. They are too expensive to buy though.
