Default I got no clue!!!!!!!!!!!

Last week, drove the c5 about 45 miles. When I parked, the rear end leaked oil about the size of your hand on the ground. Got home and had oil on the rear diff. Today, drove about the same distance, and everything is dry as a bone. It's to go to the shop on Tuesday and now I wonder what they'll find. I have a lift in my garage and I can't find anything wrong. Has anyone had this problem? I've checked the vent on top of the diff. and no oil. Man, this is enough to drive you out of your mind. HELP tc

If it didn't come out of the vent I think it would still be leaking.

Once, I tortured a GOOD friend/neighbor after he bought his two-year old C5 by steathily slipping an ounce or two of used motor oil on the asphalt, under his engine. This may have no bearing on your possible leak, but it's a thought.

That's a damn good prank. Did you wait for him to come out the next day and point it out for him??? Thanks for the idea.

"...good prank"

If you really think so, imagine if a "friend" did so to YOU!

This kind of happened to me too....

.....I had an axle seal replaced and it kept leaking for a couple days afterwards, then just stopped and hasn't done it since.
