Default Anniversery Red vs. Black??????

Well I've had my first black car, '03 Vert for about a year and keeping up with the dust, etc. to keep it looking good is too much....sorry Black Sheep Squadron!!!! I've had red cars before...'99 Vert Torch Red and several darker reds, but nothing as dark as the Anniversery Red. I'm thinking of trading the black for the AR but am concerned it may also be so dark as to be a PITA to keep looking good. Any and all advice is welcome.

Yes it's a PITA to keep spotless. The AR is a very "touchy" paint and shows everything. The museum delivery team used to claim that under the lights it was worse than black, FWIW. It's a beautiful color, but like black you need to stay on top of it if you want it show quality!

The darker colors are usually harder to keep looking good. If you are not set on a dark color, try something like pewter, silver or spiral gray.

I've got Anniv. Red as well as a '94 Black Rose. Anniv. Red is no picnic to keep clean but not as hard as Black. A good wax and soap and water will keep Anniv. Red looking good.

The easiest color I've ever had was silver. Never looked dirty when it was.

I love my black car and I don't care how much work it is to keep clean, it's worth it!

I had Navy Blue Metallic, loved it and but hated it here in AZ.......have the spiral gray now...........amazingly easy to care for and looks great.....I get more compliments on the spiral gray then I did the blue...........I didn't know that about the AR.....I almost went there.............funny the things you learn on this forum.

Anniversary Red can be difficult to keep, but it isn't as bad as the black cars that I have had!

Actually, a dark color is very easy to keep looking great. The only two things you need is Zanio polish and a duster.

I'll second that motion.

Just spend a couple of hours washing and detailing my ride...it didn't really look dirty, but I knew that it was, so now it's absolutely clean.

With my Cali duster and NXT quick detailer spray, I shouldn't have to wash it for another 2 or 3 weeks or so.

I don't have AR but its close!

I just love the color but in the rain it can be a PITA to keep looking good. glad to say that's not a problem I have very often in Vegas

I say go for it
