I stopped by the stealer and picked one up to avoid shopping for one at the parts stores, but how to I get to this thing? Do you actually have to take the wheel off, then some plactic crap to get to it? I can move the brake duct tubuing aside to see and touch it, but there's no way I can get a hand in there. Suggestions please - Gracias, Jeff
I went though the brake duct. But, it is possible to go from the top around the headlight, but I think that is a tight fit too. But i think it's easier for me cause I have the tigershark one. Your last and final option is through where the wheel is. Crank it then that ripping off plastic. I still recommend the brake duct one. Just pull a kid from the street and give him a dollar to put his hand in there. I'm sure he'll be thrilled. Good Luck.
Do you remember how it pulls off? Straight down or back to the engine? I can probably get it off with a tool, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to snap it back in after I replace the bulb. txs for the help - Jeff
Turn on the headlights and back off one position to kill the lights.
Unscrew the 3 small screws on the black plastic housing around the headlight. Gently pull the housing clear. Reach down around the headlight unit and release the bulb holder. It unscrews counter clockwise but it has a plastic clip which you need to squeeze to release it. Change the bulb. Reseat the bulb holder and turn until it clicks back in place. Put the plastic housing back in place making sure to locate the small plastic tab in the bracket on the headlamp cover. Replace the 3 screws and close the lights.
10 minute job.
thanxs DeeGee.....That option looked promising, but I wasn't sure if that plastic cover on the headlight would make much of a difference. I'll try that, thanxs
Mission accomplished ! Still needed the girlfriend's arm! There's no way my forearm gets around that light and down to the bulb. Thanxs everybody - Jeff
