Good luck against your fight against speed bumps. You might want to mention to the people that want speed bumps that they lower the value of the neighborhood.
Speed bumps say that the people that live here can't even control themselves to drive in a safe and sane manner. Speed bumps are controls that are used against unruly drivers. Speed bumps mean the neighborhood is BAD, not that the neighborhood is a nice, safe place.
