My wife and I took the vette out for a weekend trip to Lake Erie and on our way, we noticed the air conditioner vents had condensation all over them and there was water dripping in the foot well. It seems to me that there might something clogging the system or a block in the drain tube. It is blowing out cold air but the water (condensation) has no place to go.
My wife's Grand Prix used to do this all the time but somehow recently fixed itself.
Does anyone know a quick fix for this or am I screwed and have to take it to the dealer.
1. stop using the a/c asap. 2. check around the tech section; this seems to be happening to a few members right now. i recall reading some detailed how-to stuff on how to remedy. good luck. bub
I was talking to another member about this same subject tonight. On the pass side fire wall behind the head there is a rubber nipple that comes out and makes a 90. you can't see it but if you run your hand behind the head you can pull it off it will likely be stoped up. cut the end off and clean it then put it back on
Good Luck

Great tips as usual from Bill Curlee and others, not to hijack this thread but are there 2 of these drains, one for each side? or just the one shown here?
I also seem to have read something else a few months ago talking about "udders" towards the bottom of the firewall that also need to be unclogged sometimes and can cause leaking inside the car as well...are we talking about the same thing?
