Guess that's why I donated $200 to Noah's Ark for animal rescue. They are more humane than some of us "higher" life forms.

I just donated $$$ to catholic charities. Can't find any gas for the vette where I live, so I keep her in the garage. Money well spent.

I gladly give the Red Cross my money...I won't ever be able to repay them.

My employer just put up $100,000 and put a challenge to his employees worldwide to contribute as much as possible and they would match that. Shooting for $200,000 to be matched for $200k, for a total of 1/2 million dollars with all employees. I looked at my car and the wish list I have for it, and said, NAH - so I bellied up to the bar with my $500 to be matched!

The USA is a giving country. That's what makes us who we are. What a twist of fate that other countries are offering food, water, generators, tents, to the United States. Like it or not, our President has respectfully declined offers from abroad.

Keep the faith and be patient. Hard to do, I know.

To a point. I saw aa TV add to donate to the unitedway.com My company prided itself on almost 100% participation with the united way for many years. I work for Xerox. But the people that run united way got caught with their fingers in the cookie jar a few yeaars ago, so ONLY will I give cash to the Red Cross. At least they have a large presence there!

Some things in life are just more important than a few mods. Way to go.

I gave to the Red Cross...and felt great doing it. With that and my prayers, I know help is on the way.
