You are all wimps. Drive it in the snow and have fun. And what is this about calling your car an "investment". I think I have a bridge to sell you.
In New York I can't say there is much fun in driving in the snow, not to mention the ice and black ice. And the roads get so dirty you can't keep a car clean and stones get thrown up all over the place. Sorry, count me in the wimp brigade. I'll pick up a beater.
Clearly there are times when I wouldn't drive my car in the snow. We don't get a lot of it in Maryland. But I find the Corvette to be quite good in it. If the snow is more than a few inches around here, businesses and schools close anyhow so there is no need to drive.
I just get a little tired of everyone locking up their cars just because its winter, or raining, or too hot, etc... It is just a car. Why let it sit in your garage and depreciate when you can be out driving it? It's going to depreciate anyway.

Ahhhh, the paranoia! I didn't love any of my other cars any less, and the snow never killed them either. Yes, it's a PITA when the salt comes out, so you wash a little more. Try living on the North Shore of Oahu!! You have to rinse it about every day in the Winter whether it's in the garage or not just because of salt spray from the winter surf.

My baby stays in the garage and awaits the cool crisp dry days that are sprinkled through the north east winters. I do not religiously keep in in there for the entire season. Also, I swapped my batter for the Optima gel type.

No thanks. I tend to baby my cars but I would be more worried about someone else sliding into me due to snow/ice - Not worth the fun. It will get to hibernate until spring.

Because if it sits in my garage for the winter it will be safe until spring when I can enjoy it. Not worried about losing value on the car as I bought it to enjoy and take care of so I could care less about the value going down. It's not an investment. Plus it is hard to enjoy if someone slides into you on snow. I've seen that happen to others so many times while I'm out driving during the winter. Too many careless people out there on snow/ice.
