BOTH ARE VERY FUN TO OWN, BUT MY C5 IS MUCH MORE DEPENDABLE
THAN MY VIPER, AND I CAN ACTUALLY AFFORD TO DRIVE MY C5 WITH
THE COST OF FUEL !

$85k starting... I think they are nice but I can't judge one until I drive one.

Default Very Different Cars

It is hard to compare then as they are so different. The Vette is a daily driver that does everything very well. The Viper is a crazy toy. As for the off set pedals in the Viper I have never noticed it really, and the headroom is plenty for me at over 6'1".

One thing only describes the Viper- TOY. It is only when you have a lot of spare money that you would own one.
The Vette however is :
1. An Amercian Icon
2. Toy
3. Daily Driver
4. Fun car
5. MISTRESS
When I payoff my house I might get the Snake but I will still keep the Vette. But on second thought, the C6 Z06 is 20K cheaper than the Viper. Maybe I'll get that one instead, then I'll have 2 mistresses.

my buddy has a viper and we go on rides Sunday rides together. The viper is a handful to drive, vette is a dream. Viper gets 10 mpg vs 25 with vette. he looks exhausted after 200 miles, I'm ready to go another 200.

All in all, viper is a nice car, gets lots of looks, raw power, but not for me.

I get my share of looks in a yellow convertible with red leather interior.

You forgot to add that it gets great gas mileage.

In the American LeMans races both Corvettes always finish ahead of the Viper.

Just that the factory teams never raced eachother Vipers last year with a factory team was the year before the Vette factory team started. Has always been private team vs factory team.

Now can you do one with a new C6 Z06 morphing into a new generation hardtop Viper? I think the lines are very similar, and would make an excellent comparison.

If you could whip one up, that would be MOST AWESOME.

Great work!

BTW...I have enough room in my heart to love BOTH cars! I intend to have one of each in my garage one day. Hopefully next to my Ford GT, Ferrari F430, Lambo Diablo (Like the styling better than the Murc) and heck why not throw in an Aston Martin Vanquish, Saleen S7, Porsche Carrera GT and Pagani Zonda while Im fantasizing?? Better be a big garage!

Cheers!~~~JadeDragon
