Sumitomo tires for C5?
I was at Sears earlier, looking at the Michelin Pilot Sports (they'll match Tirerack prices), and the sales guy recommended Sumitomo tires.
Anybody got any experience with them on a Vette? They're considerablly cheaper, but don't come in a runflat version.

I've used them on our old van, primarily because they are very cheap tires. However, by 17,000 miles, they were howling a horrible death. Granted, the C5 tires are hopefully of higher quality, I wouldn't bet on it. The Goodyear GSD3s are of excellent quality, are significantly less expensive than Michelins, and are made right here in the US.

I am currently running the HTRZ IIs on my bling wheels. I used them @ the last AutoX I went to a few weeks ago. They handled xlnt, & on the street they cruise around fine. I think they are the best value out there. I don't have much wear feedback yet, cuz I haven't put that many miles on them, but they should deliver good tread life. The others that are close in price(& hopefully in performance) are the Falkens, Firestones, & the Nittos.
