DRL Bulbs
I was looking for replacement bulbs online and found the attached thread on another board:
Bad bulbs. Comparing the original [3057] DRL bulb with the heavier replacement bulb [4057].
"Someone once told me that it has to do with the fact that the original bulbs when specified by GM were rated for 12v, but the electrical system actually runs at 14+v, about a 20% increase over spec in voltage which was the cause for the shortened life
span of the bulb."
This may answer the querstion why lots of members complain about DRLs failing regularly
Any inputs from the experts?
