I'm not gonna lie... some of the sounds it makes when i scrape
The neighbors are getting use to the sound.. I drag all the way down my driveway LOL BUT, it looks good, so i'm a happy girl. Best thing i've done to her.
Okay, I can't take it any longer..........I love seeing all these pics of lowered 'Vettes....it seems to make the car look so much hotter, and YES, I have taken the time to read past threads regarding this procedure.
That said, those responding have had nothing but good to say about it when it's complete, and I believe them regarding the appearance and performance.
However, there must be some drawbacks to it......besides being a squirrel's worst nightmare.........and I'm just wondering what those would be. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I've found the procedure on here and it seems relatively simple to perform.
THANKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mine is lowered as far as it will go on stock bolts...Looks great but hate the fact that even speed bumps (big ones) can cause a problem. Can be kinda frustrating as you will "rub" on the smallest of dips. I am honestly thinking about raising it back up a 1/2 inch...
My 2004 convertible is lowered on the stock bolts and with 2/3 of the bushings cut. This is an F55-equipped car. It measures 26 1/2" at the front wheel opening center. I can't imagine having it the way it used to be now. And when I pass other C5s that haven't been lowered, they look so HIGH. And, yes, it can be aggravating at times when encountering certain road conditions but it's definitely worth the look.

Had mine lowered, thanks to CF member mixermake, last Sunday. Even though it was only lowered on stock bolts, gotta tell, it made a difference. No more SUV look. I don't even scrape that much with the change. And it does seems like I'm looking up at everything going down the road way more so than before...I love the new look...
I know it looks , but no way in hell that I would be able to drive my Vette through the streets of Staten Island, NY. It scrapes now and it's at the the factory specs.
Lowered with cut bushings and still too high. I finally gave up on finding a cheap way to go lower in the front and have settled on just living with the fact that i'll have to save for coilovers.
I have no issues anywhere as long as I take angles. If you've never had a slammed car, you will learn this.
the scraping is kinda embarrasing when you are in public i.e. restaurants etc. but I can deal with the little frame protector thingy scraping but when its the actual bumber cover its aggravating.

Lowering your car is the cheapest mod that can make a drastic improvement in the looks. People look at my car and ask me why it looks so different, but can't put their finger on it. You will learn where to be careful in your normal driving routine and you will get use to it because once you do it no way will you raise it back up. To me it rides about the same, this is on a Z06. I don't know how different the affect will be on other model Vettes. The first time you are next to a stock height Vette, you won't believe how much higher it looks. I was parked next to my friend's Z06 and was amazed how much different a 1"+ drop would make in looks. He, who was totally against lowering his, remarked that it looked like he had the "off-road" version Z06. He walked away mumbling something about lowering his too. BTW, I just lowered to the max on stock bolts and cut the front bushings. This perfectly centers the wheel all around in the opening.
