Okay, I can't take it any longer..........I love seeing all these pics of lowered 'Vettes....it seems to make the car look so much hotter, and YES, I have taken the time to read past threads regarding this procedure.
That said, those responding have had nothing but good to say about it when it's complete, and I believe them regarding the appearance and performance.
However, there must be some drawbacks to it......besides being a squirrel's worst nightmare.........and I'm just wondering what those would be. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I've found the procedure on here and it seems relatively simple to perform.

Get a set of frame savers and rocker rails from Andy at A&A Performance.... very cheap, compared to repairing nose panels and rockers. Then slam that sucker! You'll like it even more when it's rolling...
Just what he said, you have to find a new driving style. You will learn how to take things angled, slower, or whatever you must do to try to either not scrape, or not scrape that much. Im SLAMMED and without frame savers or rocker rails, and it really hasnt been too bad, but as we said, you learn how to drive it with it being that low. Ive even gotta watch out for rocks and certain things in the road that I cant drive over, lol
From: Alhambra Calismognazifornia, in the country everyone comes just to complain but won't go back home!
be careful, it all depends on where you live. i couldn't even dream of lowering like some of the guys around here. i'm lowered to max on stock bolts, which is not extreme in any way, and i scrape everywhere around here in So Cal. My driveway is steep and the bottom corners of my bumper cover and bottoms of the rocker panels are all scraped up. there have been numerous speed bumps which have hit the bottom of the car, even when crawling over at 2 mph...
that said, if you can get away with it....SLAM IT!
I'm glad I lowered mine, I wouldn't want to slam it. I already have to get creative on how I take some driveways and watch for potholes. Get the rocker rails and frame savers from A&A corvette, they are a must!
how low can you actually lower the car if your use longer bolts
Since the vette uses a torsion spring, it is attached to the LOWER a-arm (below it, using a bolt). If you loosen that bolt, you effectively lower the car by adding space between the spring and arm. Since the stock bolts will not allow for maximum space, a longer one will allow you to lower the car more.
