console won't open
okay, whats the deal to get the console door open!? Do you have to use the key? I put the key in and turn it but the door does not open. I do not see any external latch button to push. ??? Tom

C5s do have a lock. There is no release, you just pull them up. You probably need to lube all the hinge points, it makes a HUGE different. It's a complex hinge as it moves in a complex motion.

If you lock it, then you must unlock it to open it. Otherwise, you just lift up on it. It could be jammed some how. Make sure the key slot is vertical (if it's horizontal, it's locked) - it should turn clockwise to unlock. If it's already unlocked, then look on the hinge side to see if something is jamming the hinge. Stick a screw driver in the hinge side as you pull up with your hand to try to free anything if you can't see. Or worst case scenario, pry it open from the lock side with the screwdriver.
